Shou-Yu Liang
is one of
the most knowledgeable and sought after Wushu and Qigong teachers in the world. He began
his Wushu and Qigong studies at age 6. He has over half a century of experience in his
field. He is a Coaches of
Excellence award recipient given in 1979 by the Chinese Government. This award was
given to individuals with outstanding personal achievements and have demonstrated the
ability to help students excel to great accomplishments. In his youth, he received many
gold medals in Provincial and national Wushu, Shuaijiao, and weight lifting competitions.
His students in China, U.S.A., and Canada have attained several hundred gold medals in
national and international Wushu competitions. He has published over 20 books and videos
about Wushu, Taijiquan, and Qigong. He is the Wushu Chairperson and has been a faculty
member of the University of British Columbia, Department of Physical Education, since
1984. He has been the Head Coach of the Canadian National Wushu team three times. He is
one of the founders of the International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association, and the Vice
President of the Confederation of Canadian Wushu Organizations. He has been the Referee
General and Assistant Referee General, in international Wushu competitions many times. He
was included in the books "The Biography of China's Prominent Wushu
Practitioners", "The Current List of Wushu Masters in China", Who's Who in
the World, and "The Record of Prominent Chinese Descendants in the World". |

Wen-Ching Wu is a leading practitioner and
teacher of Wushu, Tai Chi Chuan, and Qigong in the United States. He has written and
coauthored many authoritative books about Wushu, Tai Chi Chuan, and Qigong. He is a
graduate of Northeastern University with a BSME degree. He was also a United States
National Chinese Martial Arts Competition Grand Champion in both Internal and External
Styles. He competed in 8 events in 1990 and was ranked first in every event he competed
in. In 1998, he was awarded three gold medals at the Fourth Shanghai International Wushu
Festival/Competition. In the same year, he was also included in the book, "China's
Contemporary Wushu Masters". Since 1990, he has been focusing his efforts on teaching
and writing. In 1991, he and his wife, Denise, founded The Way of the Dragon, Ltd. in
Rhode Island, U.S.A. He then began teaching and writing full time, and traveling
throughout the U.S. and Europe giving workshops in Wushu, Tai Chi Chuan, and Qigong. |
